Video taken on board Ares-2 duruing a Piccolo flight on 5-26-06. This is about a 22 minute video, with the overflight happening at about 21:20 into the video. Another interesting section of video is at 14:35. Look at the top of the video and you can see the planes heiligenschein. A heiligenschein, a diffuse bright region surronding the shadow of an aircraft, is similar to a glory (which occurs when the planes shadow is cast on a cloud), however these occur on irregular surfaces (wet or dry). A heiligenschein is also known as Cellini's Halo. |
